Even if the talk of Uniform Civil Code has been going on ever since ’47, it has gained momentum only in the recent months thanks to the changed political climate in the national scenario and political maturity of Hindus, in general. UCC, before anything, confirms each and every Indian as equal and guarantees his/her fundamental rights but doesn’t yield to the mania of rendering extra shields to a few chosen communities. And certainly, here does remain a danger to all those who build their political mandates exploiting differences. They’re nothing but Communists. Would UCC be enacted finally? How would changed India look then?
