Definitely, Hinduism is inspired by Hollywood and it’s no limited to Hollywood only; even Europe is also fascinated by the ancient Hindu erudition and has left no stone unturned to include the same in motion pictures. And in this context “The River” (1951) movie of globally acclaimed French film director Jean Renoir deserves special mention. It was shot at the River Ganges around Calcutta (now Kolkata) and to many, Renoir was fascinated by everything found in India.
