It’s Godhra or the railways station that turned into a national sensation just 20 years back only to an inhuman development. Charred bodies of Kar Sevaks from Sabarmati Express that was burnt down by a frenzied Islamist mob were placed in this platform. The burnt train is still parked in the Godhra railway station with ineradicable wounds. Can the hint of vengeance and violent conflicts that took place following claiming hundreds of lives across Gujarat still be found in a hushed tone? The answer is not easy. But it seems that people have become resilient enough representing the ideal Hindu outlook. They have come a long way and seemingly, none wants to look back.
