Despite a year has passed, the gruesome murder of Kanhaiya Lal haunts the neighborhood at Maldas Street, Udaipur in Rajasthan. Two Islamists, Mohammed Riyaz and Mohammed Ghous staging as customers entered the shop and slit his throat in the wink of an eye. Kanhaiya Lal had expressed his support for Nupur Sharma and her alleged “blasphemous” remarks and that was the only crime of him. But still people are reeling under the shock and terror and this can be found from the poor condition of adjoining market. Within a year, the market has lost almost 50% of its previous business thanks to the weird terror. While many businessmen have reduced working hours, many shops have been closed down. Once a famous textile market appears now like a city badly wounded with arsenals.
