Vicious gang-rape of Hindu girls by Islamists in Assam

Assam is again in national headlines and for wrong reasons only; two Hindu girls have been gang-raped by a gang of 5-6 Islamist youths. While both of them were returning from Mohanpur Abhaycharan ME School located in Assam’s Hailakandi district on 4^th July, they were abducted and dragged to Rosakandi Tea Garden. It’s learnt, initially there were two youths named Jabir and Jubair who were joined by others later on. Both of them were gang-raped viciously and left to die. Locals found them later on and phoned the police to intervene. Both the girls were sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital under police surveillance where one died soon. The other is alive still but in critical condition. While Jabir has been arrested, others are absconding.
